A 50 minute flight takes you to the spice isle of the Caribbean. Experience the very best of Grenada! Commence the day with a lovely breakfast before setting off for Fort Frederic on the Morne Jaloux ridge. This location offers panoramic views of the capital St. George’s, the southern peninsulas, Grand Anse Beach as well as the Grand Etang forest range. Ascend to 1900 feet above sea level where the Grand Etang National Park and Crater Lake await. On the drive up, photo stops will be made to see nutmeg, other spice trees and giant heliconias growing along the route. Grenada is the second largest producer of Nutmeg, and has attained five gold medals for its floral exhibits at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show in the UK. Stop at the Grand Etang Nature Centre, Crater Lake and Forest Reserve for a drink and a possible photo opportunity with a cheeky Mona Monkey. After, depart Grand Etang for lunch at Belmont Estate or Barry's Country Resort in Sauteurs, on the Northernmost point of the island. After lunch, enjoy the leisurely drive along the western side of the island, stopping at the fishing town of Gouyave for a tour of the nutmeg station before arriving to Concord Falls for a photo stop. Next, head to St. Georges for a visit of the new Cruise Terminal and Esplanade Mall before returning to the airport to check in at 6:30pm for your return flight.
