Crew
Captain Giovanni Andreini, ItalianÂ
Giovanni was born and raised in Ostia, the harbor city of ancient Rome on the Italian Coast. Giovanni started sailing at a very early age and soon developed a passion for the sea. He says that he has always been happiest when he is “on the sea, in the sea or under the sea.â€Â As he grew up he continued to sail and during school worked as a sailing instructor. He spent his senior year in high school as an exchange student in Montana in the US. Giovanni has also worked in the restaurant industry where he developed a keen sense of hospitality & service. He later added Scuba Instructor to his credentials working as dive instructor for 8 years in the Maldives Islands of the Indian Ocean and today has several thousand dives in his log book.   In 2005 Giovanni crossed the Atlantic on his own boat and fell in love with the Caribbean – its beautiful colors, the natural beauty of its flora & fauna, and cultural and ethnic blend of flavors. He soon began captaining charter yachts – both catamarans and mono-hulls - and realized his ideal career “on the sea, in the sea and under the sea.â€Â He enjoys sharing his passion for sailing and all water sports with charter guests and ending the day by finding the perfect anchorage, preparing one of his special cocktails and sharing a beautiful Caribbean sunset. Fluent in Italian, French and English, Giovanni loves to read and discuss books, world events or his countless sailing or diving experiences.  Â

Chef Christelle Vannier, FrenchÂ
Christelle’s roots are in the beautiful, snow-capped mountains of France. Following a long and varied career as a sports instructor at mountain resorts she moved to the South of France where she became involved in the hotel and restaurant industries. In 1998 Christelle began working on yachts in the Mediterranean & Caribbean as stewardess and then as chef and has since worked on several large, busy charter yachts, both sail and power, offering a high level of service. She is delighted to be on JERI where she is able to share with guests on a personal level her love of sailing while helping to create a memorable holiday experience with her talents in international cuisine and hospitality.
